About Me
Am I the right vocal coach for you?
Hi, I'm Caoimhe O'Brien – the founder of Music Mad and an experienced vocal coach with a strong foundation in both performance and music education.
I completed my BA (Hons) in Music and Economics at University College Cork in 2022 and continued my studies in the area of Musicology and Cultural Studies at postgraduate level in 2023.
During my time at UCC, I focused on the transformative power of music, particularly how it can build confidence, foster creativity, and strengthen community. I also achieved Grade 6 in Musicianship from the Academy of Popular Music and was awarded a scholarship for my dedication to the craft.
I am Garda Vetted and hold a Tusla Children First Certificate, ensuring a safe and professional environment for all students. My teaching philosophy is grounded in kindness and patience. I believe every student has a unique voice and learning style, and my pedagogy is centred on guiding each individual through thoughtful, tailored lessons that build skill, self-expression, and confidence.
Whether you're just beginning your vocal journey or preparing for performance or exams, I'm here to help you discover your voice and enjoy the process.
